Video calls change that. In 10 minutes, you can assess communication style, warmth, and fit in a way that no bio can capture.

Before the Call: What to Prepare

You don’t need to prepare much — the call is meant to be conversational, not formal. A few things that help:

Know the basics: your loved one’s main needs, schedule, location
Be in a quiet space where you can speak freely

During the Call: What Actually Happens

Both you and the caregiver join a secure video room directly in your browser — no app download needed. You’ll see each other’s faces, which matters. Body language and warmth come through on video in ways that text never captures.

The call is 10 minutes. That’s enough time to:

Introduce yourselves and your situation
Ask your key questions
Hear about their experience and approach
Get a feel for whether you’d want to move forward

You don’t have to make a decision during the call. Many families book 2–3 calls with different caregivers before choosing.

After the Call: Your Options

After the call ends, you’ll be prompted to make a decision:

Hire — you want to move forward with this caregiver. Senior Care Connect will share contact details so you can arrange care directly. The platform doesn’t take any cut of wages.
Keep looking — browse more caregivers and book additional calls.
No fit — not the right match. That’s fine — it’s exactly why the call exists.

How Much Does It Cost?

$20 per call, charged at booking. No subscription, no monthly fee. If you end up hiring a caregiver, you negotiate pay directly — Senior Care Connect doesn’t take a percentage of wages.
